Who are APM and what do they do?
APM's activities range from qualifications, networking and events to research, resources and debate – raising the profile of the project profession, challenging the status quo where it matters and setting the highest standards. In a complex world, APM is helping the project profession deliver better.
We offer two key APM certifications:
APM PFQ - Project Fundamentals Qualification is designed for people who are new to project management.
APM PMQ - Project Management Qualification is designed for project managers who have at least 6 months experience in projects
APM PFQ is based on the APM Body of Knowledge and covers 11 project management topics including:
- Context
- Project Definition
- Project Planning and Control
- Project Exectution
- Project Close
The PFQ course is 2 days training with 5 hours pre-course study and 2 hours evening work.
The PMQ course is 5 days training with 10 hours pre-course study and 10 hours evening work.
Both courses are hosted on MS Teams.
The PFQ exam is a 60 minutes multi-choice with a pass mark of 36 / 60 (60%)
The PMQ exam has two exams that are run back to back. The first is a multi-choice exam and the second is a written short answer exam.
Both exams are closed-book.
