Team #runFAR® was created by the Runfar directors through passion to support the local community and raise money and awareness for charities.  Through this channel we have really made a difference to so many people.  At Runfar, we have always been driven by charity, and are proud to have raised awareness and over £15,000 that has helped several good causes.  In a growing trend, running has provided our family, friends and the local community with unity and strength and in return we want others to share our happiness/borderline obsession.

Community
Back in 2015 runFAR® founder member, Julia Bradley, formed a local community running group in her home town.  The sole purpose of this creation was to provide company for lone runners which, as we all know, can be a real struggle at times.  Having a running buddy (or two) can make the difference, especially on a distance run when that voice inside your head’s telling you to stop, you’ve had enough!!  Social media responded to this single effort, and today the group has in excess of 800 members, some of which are Marathoners, and Ultra finishers.
Growth
Joining Julia 4 years ago was joint runFAR® Founder Member, Paul Bradley.  Together they treated running as therapy to their busy business lives.  How many times have you heard people say they run for their mind?  There’s no truer statement.  It’s not just a physical activity of which the benefits are huge, but an important time for the mind, body and soul.

Run For A Reason
Over the years we are proud to have run in some significant races.  Each time for charity and each time to promote awareness of symptoms and helplines etc.  In 2019 our amazing team raised over £6,000 for Target Ovarian Cancer.  We regularly have members taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon and London Marathon.

Locally we nurture beginners with ‘Couch to 5K’ group training.  Last year we took a summer program and put it into winter practice.  Again, good for the soul and effective in numbers.  You will see our posts ripple through social media.  We are very proud of our members.

You can join the team and take advantage of the motivation on Facebook by searching Team #runFAR.
Why do you run?
So, now you know a little bit about our history, we'd love to hear why you run too.  Send us your story today (in less than 500 words) and we will use your story to help motivate others!
